In addition to transportation, utility and health care transactions, FSA insures infrastructure financings in other sectors, including
- Convention centers and stadiums
- Our guaranty helps attract investors to issues that would otherwise be difficult to market because of the unique characteristics of each transaction.
- University facilities
- We guaranty PPP transactions based on dormitory fees and other student revenues.
- Government accommodation
- We assist in structuring the large-scale financings required for major government projects, such as office buildings, where the securities are typically backed by government lease payments to a private developer/operator.
- Social housing
- We guarantee securities backed by government-sponsored housing projects.
These specialized transactions frequently require financial guarantees to achieve capital market execution, which may be the only way to generate sufficient proceeds at a reasonable cost for certain large borrowings. Additionally, bank financing may be available at a lower cost when FSA guarantees the debt.
